Zynga has announced the purchase of DNA Games, a developer of social games, including "Casino City" and "Bar World", making it the the 14th acquisition in the past 12 months.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Jonathan Lee, Founder and CEO of DNA Games, will serve as general manager of the studio and will report to Mark Skaggs, according to Zynga.
"DNA Games has a proven track record developing highly engaging social games and a technology platform that enables rapid iteration and optimization of game features and design," Zynga said. "Their expertise will be a valuable asset in next-generation game development for Zynga."
Founded in 2009 by Jon Lee and Shaun Haase, DNA Games has attracted over 1.5 million players monthly to its Casino City game. DNA Games has also built a technology platform that allows for rapid iteration and optimization of game features and design.
