Mike Brown, the former Facebook corporate development executive who was dismissed over insider trading, has taken a job at Twitter.
He will be Twitter’s director of corporate development and will report to Kevin Thau, VP of business development, Twitter confirmed.
Brown had purchased Facebook shares on the secondary market last fall out of a stated desire to have a larger stake in the company he was touting to prospective business partners. Facebook fired him in February based on its policy against insider trading by employees.
Brown joined Facebook in 2009, where he helped negotiate many of Facebook’s so-called "alent acquisitions".
