Research In Motion Ltd. recently named Roger Baxter vice president of brand and marketing communications.
Mr. Baxter joins RIM from Publicis Groupe SA, a large advertising firm, where he served as chief strategy officer for the firm’s Publicis Seattle unit. He replaces Paul Kalbfleisch, whose title was vice president of brand creativity.
RIM is trying to revitalize its product line, launching the PlayBook in April and unveiling a new BlackBerry model this week that will run on the latest version of the BlackBerry operating system. More new BlackBerry models are expected to follow in the coming months.
