Panasonic to Introduce Android-Based Toughbook

Panasonic Solutions Co. in Secaucus, N.J.announced it would release its Toughbook Android tablet later this year.

The Toughbook tablet will have a 10.1-inch XGA multi-touch sunlight-readable screen, an active stylus to capture signatures, and security embedded at the hardware level.

The Toughbook is targeting government personnel, mobile workforces and "security-conscious IT managers and bottom-line-focused CFOs," Panasonic said in a statement.

Price of the device was not disclosed.
