Hacker group LulzSec (Lulz Security) has just made a statement to declare their disbanding after 50 days of attacks.
In the statement, LulzSec announced that they’ve been disrupting and exposing corporations, governments and other for the recent 50 days, and they were doing this just to entertain everyone. However it should come to end now, so the hacker group has disbanded itself, and they hope the impacts about their attack reserves.
During the so called 50-day virtual rampage period, the group attacked a large number of game companies, such as Nintendo, Bethesda Softworks, Epic Games, CCP Games, and Mojang. And right before the statement, the group chose Electornic Art’s free-to-play shooter Battlefield Heroes to be their last victim.
LulzSec brought down the game’s site, and release about 500,000 accounts from the game. EA confirmed this attack with a brief statement online, but added that no personal data was compromised as far as they knew.
Also notable about LulzSec is that a 19-year-old Briton was suspected to be a member of the group and was arrested a week before their announcement, but the group denied that.
