Facebook is now the second most popular website in UK, right behind Google, according to figures released Monday by online research firm UKOM/Nielsen.
The social networking site attracted 26.8 million UK visitors last month, a 7 percent growth from last year. Microsoft websites had 26.2 million visitors. While Google is still far ahead of Facebook and Microsoft with a whopping 33.87million UK visitors, around half of the country’s population.
The UKOM/Nielsen data also revealed that Linkedin is gradually catching on Twitter with the business networking site catching nearly 18 million US visitors in May, while Twitter recorded 23.6 million.
