Prospectiv Direct Inc., a Wakefield, Mass.-based company that operates daily deal site Eversave, has reached an agreement to be acquired for $30 million cash by Connecticut-based Affinion Group Inc.

Prospectiv operated Eversave as a basic coupon website offering discounts on items from major national brands. In the spring of 2010 the site was relaunched as a daily deal clone serving mainly the Boston area. The move was well received. Switching to discounts for local Boston restaurants, watering holes, fitness centers and spas went over swimmingly, and inside of a year the company has spread to 20 other cities.

Eversave is currently the No. 4 group-discount site in the Boston market, with 74 deals over the past 60 days behind Groupon, BuyWithMe and LivingSocial in the city, according to deal aggregator Yipit.

Prospectiv’s management team and associates are expected to continue to work with the combined company.
