2K Games and Gearbox  has recently confirmed that the long-awaited sci-fi first-person shooter sequel Borderlands 2 is currently in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows platform.

Set for release during Take-Two Interactive’s next fiscal year, Borderlands 2 will have new versions of just about everything: character classes, enemies, weapons, equipment, skills, and sections of Pandora to explore. 2K is also touting "an ambitiously crafted story," though the only thing more specific offered was that it will involve secrets being revealed and mysteries being escalated.
