Houston-based BMC Softeare announced that it has acquired a developer of IT management software, Aeroprise.
With support for iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile devices, Aeorprise’s solution helps enterprises and governments provide rapid access to IT service management functionality on the go via mobile applications for service desk, change, asset, service catalog and request management with support from on-premise and SaaS-based deployments.
"With this acquisition, BMC is helping our customers harness the consumerization trend in enterprise IT for increased efficiency and competitive advantage", said Paul Avenant, BMC’s president of Enterprise Service Management.
Financial terms of the deal is not disclosed.
