The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will probably be one of the best-selling franchises of 2011, but that’s not stopping publisher Bethesda Softworks from rolling out the marketing push. Today, Bethesda Softworks blog that Skyrim preorders will receive a custom map packed in with their copy of the game without extra charge.
It is reported that the map will be made out of a "high-grade material" similar to burlap, and it is only available for North American and European gamers only. Those who do not preorder the game will receive the same map, but it will be printed on paper.
Skyrim will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 11. As with its top-rated predecessor, Skyrim presents open-world action role-playing set in the world of Tamriel. Skyrim itself is the name of the northern territory in which the game is set, and sees players assuming control of a dragon born.
