Analysys: Chinese Mobile Internet Research in 2011Q1

According to Enfodesk recently released by Analysys International, Chinese mobile Internet users have reached 343 million in Q1, 2011, with a sequential growth rate being 19.0% and a year-on-year increase of 66.5%. The total number of mobile Internet users is predicted to be 600 million in 2012, surpassing the Internet users.

Chinese 3G mobile Internet users have reached 61.9 million in Q1, 2011, and will be over 100 million by the end of 2011. Smartphone sales of each quarter have reached 20 million. Tablets sales have broke 1 million in Q1, 2011.

The investment in mobile Internet is in full swing this year. Shanda Games has invested in Nduo, Goapk, weiphone and mojichina; Tencent has invested in Innovation Works.

The income of Chinese mobile Internet has reached 19 billion yuan in Q1, 2011, with a sequential growth rate of 0.2%.

The income of mobile applications and services has reached 10.56 billion yuan, representing 45.13%; the traffic fee income has reached 8.58 billion yuan, still representing 44.45%; mobile shopping 1.5 billion yuan and 7.89%; mobile advertisement at 2.52%.
