Japanese online retailer Rakuten Inc. announced Tuesday that it has acquired Ikeda, a leading provider of e-commerce services to many of Brazil’s largest retailers, making its first push into the rapidly growing South American country.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996, Ikeda provides retailers with a SaaS e-commerce platform, enabling its customers to help build their desired features and provides advisory services to support their online retail operations.
