George ‘GeoHot’ Hotz, the hacker who settled a lawsuit with Sony for publishing a PlayStation 3 crack online, now has been hired by Facebook. However, his position in Facebook is still unclear, some rumored that he will join a development team tasked wit building Facebook’s rumored new iPad app.
Joshua Hill, a member of the Chronic-Dev Team responsible for a variety of Apple product jailbreaks broke the news of George ‘GeoHot’ facebook job which noted that Hotz had backed out of an iPad 2 hacking challenge between the two. Hotz listed himself as working as a Facebook software engineer starting in May 2011 on his Facebook page. His first official day on the job was May 9.
