Adobe Systems Incorporated recently reported financial results for its second quarter fiscal year 2011 ended June 3, 2011.
The company posted a 54% gain in quarterly profit, as the design software maker’s revenue increased to more than $1 billion for the period ended earlier this month.
The company’s fiscal second-quarter net income rose to $229.4 million, or 45 cents a share, from $148.6 million, or 28 cents a share, in the same period last year.
For the current quarter, Adobe forecast profit of 50 to 56 cents per share, excluding some items, in line with analysts’ average estimate of 54 cents. It forecast sales of $1 billion to $1.05 billion, in line with the $1.02 billion expected by analysts.
